What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information:

Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card numbers. We instead use a third-party system that encrypts your information and stores it on a secure independent server. We do not sell, exchange or share your personal information or identity with others.

What personal information we collect:

When you create a Collars For A Cause account, register your credit card, apply for, purchase a product, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, and credit card information.

When you share your content with family and friends using CFAC or invite others to join you on www.collarsforsacause.org, CFAC may collect the information you provide about those people such as name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. This information is only used to redeem auction lots and is then disposed of, beyond financial and shipping record keeping.

Internet Protocol Address:

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

All information provided to CFAC is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our Site. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

When you use some CFAC services, applications or post on forum, chat room, or social networking service, the personal information you share is visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these instances. For example, if you list your name and email address in a forum posting, that information is public.
